Funeral for Jim "Crickett" McAnally, Lawton, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, with the Rev. Brantley Tillery officiating.
Burial will be in Walters Cemetery.
James Keith McAnally, known as "Jim" or "Crickett," was born Aug. 13, 1943, in Chicago, and departed this life Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, in Lawton.
Jim grew up the son of Merrill Keith and Dorothy Irene Johnson McAnally. The family made their home in Illinois until moving to Florida, where Jim graduated from Hernando High School in Brooksville. He then joined the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, serving honorably, but was not activated to serve in Vietnam. After the service, he settled in the San Antonio area and worked more than 20 years for the American Can Company as a label machine operator before moving to Lawton in 1993. He enjoyed golfing and bowling with the Early Birds and the Friday Night League and going to the casino.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Jennifer McAnally, of Harker Heights, near Killeen, Texas; his three grandchildren: Monica McAnally Sanchez, Dylan and Justin McAnally; his great-granddaughter, Evelynn Sanchez; his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Bob Hasson, of Fredericksburg, Texas; other relatives and many friends.
