OBITUARY
Mrs. Grant Kafer
Mrs. Grant Kafer passed away suddenly Saturday morning following an illness of a week's duration.
She was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Deck, was born on December 8, 1869 in North Hampton County, Pennsylvania. When just a few weeks old the family came to Linn county, which has since been her home. She was married to U. S. G. Kafer on March 15, 1890 and to this union was born a son, Merle, now of Denver, Colorado, who with the father survives.
Funeral services were held at the home, 712 7th Avenue North, on Monday afternoon, Rev. Rolland D. Snuffer, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, conducting the services. Burail was made in the Mount Vernon cemetery.
