COOK, Benjamin Reuel (Age 66) Entered into Glory on February 3, 2015 in Canton, Georgia. He was born on January 3, 1949 in Fortaleza, Brazil to missionary parents, Reuel and Margueritte Cook. The family moved to Recife, Brazil where Ben grew up. They returned to the U.S. in 1961. Ben graduated from North Central High School in 1966 and a 1968 graduate of Devry University in Chicago. Mr. Cook loved to travel. He enjoyed cruises, westerns, Atlanta Braves baseball, Atlanta Falcons, and the Dallas Cowboys. His professional career included salesman and service for National Music Service and later, Global Distribution. Ben is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marlene; son, Benjamin, Jr.; grandchildren, Joshua, Ashley and Nikki of Canton, GA; sisters, Marianna Spoerhase (Don) of Spokane, Rebecca Cook of Spokane, Kathy Girouard of Spokane; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12 Noon to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Celebration of Ben's life will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Fairmount Memorial Park.
