Vickie Lynn Voyles Jackson was born December 31, 1952. The oldest child of Jack and Marie Voyles.
Vickie loved life and lived each day to the fullest. Her battle with cancer never broke her spirit. She was and extraordinary example of strength and hope.
On February 3rd she was received by God as a sweet angel. She was reunited in death with her father, Jack Voyles, and her grandson Blake Lee Smuin.
She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, Mimi, and friend to everyone that met her.
After graduating from Uintah High Class of 71, Vickie moved to Salt Lake where she worked as a dental assistant and had various jobs while attending college. She then returned to Vernal and worked for Dr. Shimmin, and IFA before she became a faithful employee of Uintah County for twenty-two years. Every day she said she was "happy as Hell to be here".
On January 18, 2002 she married the love of her life, Harley Jackson. During their thirteen years of marriage, they rarely left each others side. She loved their home on the ranch and the cabin on the mountain. Vickie found great enjoyment and comfort spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play. She spent endless hours outside working in her flower beds and yard. Watching the sunset and sunrises outside her beautiful windows brought her great joy.
Vickie had an uncanny compassion for others, she always knew stories from peoples lives, and was genuinely concerned for them. She gave freely to anyone in need, sending cards and letters, making sure no one would be forgotten.
Her remaining loved ones include her husband, Harley Jackson, mother, Marie Voyles and brother, David Voyles. Her children, Jacque Boren (Travis Cole), Traci Sessions (Bodee Sessions), Ryan Jackson (Pennie Jackson). Her grandchildren, Cassie and Sammie Jackson, KayDence and Rylee Sessions, Baylee Smuin, Dylan Boren, Brandon and Sean Cole. She had many lifelong, true friends who were very dear to her heart.
Love you, bless you, morning time.
