Jake Aalborg, the son of Joseph and Tillie (Johnson) Aalborg, was born September 1, 1913 at Estherville, Iowa and passed away suddenly at Scottsdale, Arizona on February 14, 1976 at the age of 62 years, 5 months and 13 days.

He grew to manhood in Estherville and attended Junior College there.

On June 7, 1937 he was united in holy matrimony to Wilma Wanek at Aurora, Nebraska. After their marriage they continued to live in Estherville, and then later moved to California. In 1951 they returned to Aurora where he has since resided. Most of the time he lived in Aurora he was engaged in farming, except while he worked for the State of Nebraska.

Jake was an active member in St. Mary's Church and was involved in community affairs.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Wilma; sons, Joe of Giltner and John of Lincoln; mother, Tillie of Estherville, Iowa; sisters, Vera Austin of Spencer, Iowa, Eloise Aalborg and Alta Mae Smith both of Estherville, Iowa; six grandchildren and many other relatives and very close friends.
