Obituary of Keith Black
W. Keith Black, 60, of Martinsburg RD 1, who retired as manager of Agway, Curryville, and as a farmer, died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 1989, at home, after an extended illness.
A funeral was held Sunday at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury, by David Harper.
Mr. Black was buried at Dry Hill Cemetery, Woodbury.
He was born Dec. 10, 1928, in Sidman, the son of Walter and Lena (Mackel) Black, and on July 1, 1953, in Winchester, Val, married Betty Jane Knisely.
Surviving are his wife; two children, Joan Hansen and Alan J. of Martinsburg RD 1; and four grandchildren.
Also surviving are his father of Sidman; and seven brothers and sisters, Lois Alexander and Hazel Houghten of Cleveland, Marion Hartels and Ardith Sherbine of York, Meade of Bethlehem, Neal of Lilly and Lynn of Rhode Island.
Mr. Black attended the East Freedom Chapel.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
