THE GIVING TREE
My father, my pneuma, my tree of life,
One you can lean on, or swing from, or climb,
Making music like the sound of a fife.
Arching skyward, swaying with winds of time.

Shields and protects a fragile leaf crying.
Radiant raindrops lying down in flowers.
Gamboling in the breeze, shining, streaming.
Great branches swaying through sunny hours

Roots grown deep and sure as a mighty Oak.
Apple trees whose blossoms touch the sky.
Fierce wind and rain, lissome boughs will cloak.
Vanquishing fears in the blinking of an eye.

Reaching well beyond the limited quest.
Growing strong in all the seasons of strife.
Will always remain the best of the best.
My father, my pneuma, my tree of life.

In Memory

Those we Love remain with us,

for Love itself lives on.

Cherished memories never fade,

because a loved one is gone.

Those we Love can never be,

more than a thought apart.

For as long as there is a memory,

they’ll live on in our heart.
