Odelia Jane Burgess was a daughter of John I. Burgess and Nancy Ann Kemp Burgess. She was the second wife of Early Andrew Jackson "Dack" Pounds, whom she married on November 23, 1872. Dack's parents were Newman Madison Pounds and Mary Ann Albright Pounds, Odelia and Dack had four children born during their marriage:

John William Lafayette Pounds, b. 1873
Oscar Jackson Pounds, b. 1874
Delia Pounds, b. 1877
Henry Forney Pounds, b.1879

Odelia died during a typhoid fever epidemic in 1894. Dack married Frances E. Wigley in 1895 and they had no children from their marriage. Dack and his third wife, Frances, are buried at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Cleburne Co., AL.
