Brenda K. Erving, 41, was pronounced dead Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, in rural Peoria County.

She died of asphyxiation.

She was born Dec. 23, 1962, in Scott, Miss., to William Young Jr. and Leatry Erving.

Surviving are her father and stepmother, Billy Young; her mother and stepfather, Willie Sanders; three daughters, Carmea Erving, Tyrhonda Erving, and Cyntira Erving; seven brothers, Stevie (and Margaret) Young, Christopher (and Demetra) Young, Ernest Young, Bobby Young, Troy (and Katheryn) Young, Michael Young, and William Young III; three sisters, Deya Young, Monisha (and Marvin) Washington, and Latisha (and Kevin) Johnson.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
