Don Hayes Robertson, Sr., 75, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, February 3, 2015. A time for family to receive friends will be from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 7, 2015 with the funeral services set for 3:00pm at Hillier Funeral Home, 2301 East 29th Street, Bryan with Lynn Ashcraft officiating. Interment will follow at Rest-Ever Memorial Park.

Don was born on July 3, 1939 to William Houston Robertson and Thelma Lillie McHargue Robertson in Leroy. He attended LaVega High School and University High School in Waco, TX. Don met the love of his life, Betty Lynn Carter in 1956 and they were married on August 27, 1957. Don and Betty moved to Bryan in 1961 and together they co-owned Ridgecrest Pharmacy and Redmond Terrace Pharmacy in the Bryan/College Station community. He loved hunting, fishing, and reading. He and Betty also enjoyed traveling, including motor-homing all over the United States and trips around the globe. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bryan. Don’s family, both immediate and extended, was the most important part of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty, his son, Dennis “Rusty” Robertson and his parents, Houston and Thelma Robertson, a brother, Bill Robertson and a sister, Patsy Norman.

Don leaves behind his son, Don Hayes Robertson Jr. and wife, Nancy of Bryan; his daughter, Deane Robertson of Bryan; grandchildren, Lindsay Preston and husband, Ed of Gulf Breeze, FL and Megan Lefner and husband, Danny of College Station and great-grandsons, Juliano, Jiovani and Marcus. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Bobbie Allred and husband, Doug of Hewitt, and Delorous Price and husband, Les of Beaumont, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Don’s name to Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 W. 26th Street, Bryan, TX 77803.
