Elouise Ada Jackson, 91, of Kountze, died Wednesday, February 4, 2014, at Kountze Nursing Center, Kountze. She was born June 13, 1923, in Slaigle, Louisiana, to Levy Sweat McCallon and James Archie McCallon.
Survivors include her children, Jerry Jackson and his wife, Barbara of Kountze and Sharon Smith and her husband, Stephen, of Austin; grandchildren, Kristi Blackwell and her husband, Ricky, of Kountze; Brandi Hendrix and her husband, Dean, of Montgomery; Stephanie Askew and her husband, Doug, of RoundRock; Brooke Jones and her husband, Kanah, of Cedar Park; and Steele Smith of Austin; great-grandchildren, Taylor Blackwell, Jackson Hendrix, Maggie Hendrix, Preston Askew, Kaitlyn Askew, Payton Jones, and Titus Jones; and sisters, Willie Pearl Burns and Gladys Stalsby.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnnie Robert Jackson; and six siblings.
A gathering of Mrs. Jackson’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 8, 2015, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 9, 2015, at Welcome Cemetery in Welcome, Arkansas.
