John Edwin Driffill went home to be with his Savior on 3 February 2015.

John is survived by his wife Barbara, sons David (wife Connie) and Jonathan (wife Maria), daughter Nancy (husband Mike), daughter-in-law Carol, sister Irene Pease, and brother Vern. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

John was born in Peoria, Illinois on 2 March 1929 on his mother, Margaret's birthday. After moving to California as a child, John graduated from Sacramento High School in 1947. He served as Sgt. 1st Class in the Army National Guard and went on to work as an auditor for the Franchise Tax Board until he retired in 1985 after 38 years of service.

John also served as the treasurer for Arcade Wesleyan Church for 23 years and loved to play softball and bowl in the local leagues. He was an avid hunter and was always ready to tell a story about some adventure or other.

John's woodworking hobby was renowned and benefited many as he was always working on something to turn around and give it to a local cause. He was active in his local church community, mens fellowship groups and Bible studies for half a century. John was always willing to step in and volunteer, in whatever capacity was needed for family, friend, or church member.

John met Barbara Johnson on 22 June 1957 and they married on 22 December of that same year. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary this past December.

John and Barbara had four children: Bob, David, Johnny and Nancy. John will be missed by his family, extended family, friends, and church community.

Services will be held at Faith Legacy Church, 3532 Whitney Ave., Sacramento on Saturday, 7 February @ 12pm.

In lieu of flowers, John has requested donations be made in his honor to the Faith Legacy Missions Foundation.
