He was the son of Charles Plunkett (1762-1836) and Mabel Jones (1782-1846). When Charles died he left his wife, Mabel, with 8 children to raise. She & the children then moved to Newton Co., Ga.
He was the grandson of Robert Plunkett 17911364 & Margaret Murdock/h 89855542
