Mary, wife of Anthony Wisler, died of inflammation of the bowels on April 29, 1893, in Harper county, Kansas.
She was a daughter of Rev Jacob Freed, deceased, of Locke township. She was born May 7th, 1842 in Holmes county, Ohio, and immigrated with her parents in Oct, 1852, to this vicinity.
On November 9th, 1862, she was united in marriage to Anthony Wisler.
She was a highly respected and consistent member of the Mennonite church from 1867 to her death.
In May, 1886, she moved to Harper county, Kansas.
She was the mother of nine children, of which seven and a bereaved husband, are yet alive to mourn the loss of a kind wife and affectionate mother.
Her interment took place in Kansas and was largely attended. The funeral was conducted by Revs Good and Funk, who made brief remarks from Mathew, 24th chapter and 44th verse.
Her age was 50 years, 11 months and 27 days.
