Mr. Allen was born July 11, 1952 at Rexburg, Idaho the son of Clyfton J. and Ruth Barnes Allen. He grew up in Teton where he attended his elementary schooling graduating from South Fremont High School.
At the age of 20 he joined the U.S. Army and served for 12 years. He lived in Detroit, Michigan; and was employed by the U.S. Federal Government Defense Dept. as a automotive equipment specialist for 28 years retiring in 2012.
He moved back to Teton in August of 2012.
He married Kathleen Smith in 1984 and she passed away in July 2011.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Longmore, Rexburg, Idaho; children - Rolan A. (Juli) Allen, serving in the U.S. Airforce in Okinawa, Japan, Laura L. (Richard) Szepytowski, Eastpointe, Michagan; grandchildren: Kaelyn & Madalyn Allen, Brooke and Evan Szepytowski; siblings - Kathleen (Roger) Wolfe, Gary (Lorna) Allen both of Teton City, Idaho; and Janice (Randy) Olk, Nampa, Idaho.
Besides his father and wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Cliff J. and Glenn R. Allen.
Memorial services will be conducted Monday, January 28, 2013 in the Teton LDS Church at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Craig Carter, officiating.
