SWART - Walter F. Swart, aged 77, of Diamond NE passed away Sunday evening.

Mr. Swart was a charter member of Blessed Sacrament Church, a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society and retired as a city of Grand Rapids employee in 1971 after 29 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anne F. Swart; one son Stephen E. Swart; one daughter Miss Mary Ellen Swart both of Grand Rapids; one brother Henry Swart; two sisters, Mrs. Gilbert (Crystal) Walcott, Mrs. Katherine Walcott, all of Grand Rapids; six granchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral mass will be offered Wednesday 10am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Swart reposes at the Alt Mortuary where relatives and friends will recite the Rosary Tuesday 8pm. Friends may meet the family at the mortuary Monday 7 to 9pm and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Memorial contributions to the Blessed Sacrament Church Building Fund will be appreciated by the family.
