Graveside service for Mr. Troy Z. Kennedy, 83, of Alexander City, will be Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1:30 pm at the Bethany Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Mountain Community in Clay County. Rev. Wayne Cowhick and Rev. Jimmy Allen will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.

Mr. Kennedy passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at University of Alabama Hospital. He was born on October 18, 1931 in Clay County, Alabama to Reubin Blakley Kennedy and Bessie Colley Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy owned and operated Kennedy’s Gulf Service Station for 30 years. When he wasn’t traveling near and far searching for antiques, Mr. Kennedy loved spending time at his farm in Clay County or at Tom Hodge Creek. He also enjoyed being outside farming and gardening.

He is survived by his daughters, Pamela Kennedy Benton (L.D.), Chris Kennedy Boone (Phillip), and Tim Kennedy (Teresa), all of Alexander City; grandchildren, Buffie Stegall (Jeff), Jamie Rogers (Troy), Cody Benton (Stacey), Randy Lee (Ginger), Craig Lee (Cecily), Madison Boone, and Clayton Boone; great-grandchildren, Benton, Leighton and Caroline Stegall, Mia and Myles Rogers, Adlyne and Avery Benton, Graham and Haig Lee, and Kendall Lee; brother, Wallace "Joe" Kennedy of Alexander City.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Jean Tidwell Kennedy, his parents, and brother, Junior Kennedy.
