Nelda Nan (Hahn) Wright went to be with her Lord & Savior February 4, 2015. It is requested in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in memory of Nelda to White River Youth Camp c/o Russell Beene 5522 27th Street Lubbock, TX 79407. Nelda was born January 5, 1940 in Bakersfield California. She married Rusty Wright October 12, 1958. She became postmaster of the Girard, TX post office 1968 and retired 1998. Nelda devoted her life to her family. She loved sewing and crocheting. She made beautiful things and always gave so many to her friend and family. Her favorite hobby was cooking alongside Rusty at White River Youth Camp where they served as head of kitchen staff for meals and friends. Nelda lost her best friend and companion August 17, 2014, When Rusty passed from this life. She is survived by her children Donna Carr and husband Steve from Azle, TX, Teressia Marley of Girard, TX; Grandchildren Russ Marley & wife Ashley, Brent, Amy and Mike Carr, Elaine Weesner & husband Trent; Great Grandson Sam Marley. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 7, 2015 at the Church of Christ in Jayton, TX Followed by interment at Girard Cemetery under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home.
