Raymond V. Courtois passed away on, February 3, 2015 in Destin, Florida. Beloved husband of Mary Jane Courtois (nee Hartwell), and Vernice Courtois (nee Weilmuenster, D. 1973); loving father of Michael (Connie), Karen (David), David (Irina), Diane (Jeffery); and loving stepfather of Gerald (D. 2015), Mark (Debbi), Thomas, Timothy (Melissa), Rick, and James. Adoring grandfather of 18; great-grandfather of 12

Ray attended St. Vincent High School in Perryville, MO; was a WWII veteran participating as a communications specialist in the Normandy Landing, as well as a fuel-truck driver servicing Patton’s Third Army Tank Corps. He retired from SW Bell Telephone in 1982, fell in love with the beautiful Emerald Coast of Florida, and settled, with his adored wife, Janie, in Freeport, FL, where he ruled numerous golf courses, and was the scourge of freshwater fish in the waters of the Estates of Lake Sharon.

Ray is survived by his brother, Richard Courtois of Perryville, MO, and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Courtois of Perryville, MO, Wilma Jones of Bloomsdale, MO, and Carol Shirley Boughton of Freeport, FL. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Albert J. and Mary Courtois, his brothers, Albert, Aloysius, and Charles, his sister, Rita, and his sisters-in-law, Francis, Wanda, and Theresa Courtois, and Violet Gainey and Melva Lee Weilmuenster, and brothers-in-law, Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Albert J. and Mary Courtois; brothers, Albert, Aloysius, and Charles; sister, Rita; and sisters-in-law, Frances, Wanda, and Theresa Courtois, and Violet Gainey and Melva Lee Weilmuenster; and brothers-in-law, Tom Gainey and George Weilmuenster.
