He was born on August 5, 1953, in Fayetteville, WV, a son of Edwin and Goldie Roroabugh Cody. He had worked in construction.
He was married to Brenda Sue Baker who preceded him in death on October 10, 1994.
David is survived by his children: David A. (Jamie) Cody, Jr. of Whipple, Joseph David Cody of Vincent, Michelle (Robert) Hallums of Tampa, FL, Belinda (Joe) Francis of Belpre, Tammy (Dan) Gearhart of Vincent; grandchildren: James Cody, “Baby” Cody, Matthew Hallums, Lacee and Steven Francis, Chyennea, Chayla and Christi Uppole. He is also survived by his sisters: Imojene, Patsy, June.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brothers: James, Carl and John; sisters; Irmalee and Jane.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (February 23rd) at 10:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home where friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00pm.
