Charlie Edison Boone, 72, died Wednesday, September 1, 2004 in a local hospital.

Mr. Boone was a native of Wilkinson County, lived in Baldwin County most of his life, son of the late Ben L. and Lydia Bloodworth Boone. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from US Army Reserves. He was a retired engineer from the Georgia Department of Transportation. After retirement he worked for Harrell Freeman in the Baldwin County Tax Collectors office. Mr. Boone was an ordained deacon and a member of Sinclair Baptist Church. -

Survivors wife, Barbara Snow Boone of Milledgeville; daughter, Charlette Weaver of Milledgeville; son, Chistopher E. Boone, Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Trae Weaver, Milledgeville, Nora Elizabeth Boone, Birmingham, AL, Benjamin Alexander Boone, Birmingham, AL; two special nieces, Cathy Hall Giles and Jennifer Hall both of Milledgeville; a number of nieces and nephews.
