Born August 30, 1936 in Oak Ridge, she was the daughter of the late Edward H. and Anna L. (Hetrick) Darr. She married Blair W. Powell on March 19, 1955 and he survives.
Beverly was a homemaker and was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Bethlehem.
She is survived by one son, Mark J. Powell and his wife Ruthie of New Bethlehem; two grandchildren, Kristin Potter and her husband Joe of Madison, Ohio and Lisa Powell of Hampton, Virginia; one great granddaughter Kara Potter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather Powell.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 6, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Rocky Hammond officiating.
Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Distant, Armstrong Co.
