Mrs. Ragsdale was born on July 18, 1949 in Dallas, Georgia to Mr. Guy Knox Shelton and Mrs. Omie Ukuele Allgood. She worked as a nursing assistant at a rehabilitation center. She was married to Ronald Henry Cochran for 20 years prior to his passing, and then she was married to Mr. Charles Terry Ragsdale, Sr. for 25 years prior to his passing in May of 2016.
Diane is preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Henry Cochran; second husband, Charles Terry Ragsdale; son, Jeffery Ronald Cochran; parents; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Knox (Omie Ukuele) Shelton; brothers, Billy Knox Shelton, Joe Douglas Shelton; sister, Ovaline Shelton.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Michael Ronald Cochran (Jessica), Timothy Mark Cochran, Anthony Scott Cochran; grandchildren, Madison Brooke Cochran, Devin Michael Cochran, Cortney Lorraine Callaway, Anthony Skyler Cochran, Caleb Joel Cochran; Brylie Morgan Cochran; Zoey Shaye Cochran, Owen Mason Cochran; great grandchildren, Adyn Bartlett, Layla Rae Callaway, McKinley Peek, and Mason Peek; sister, Carolyn Hardy; nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Diane Cochran Ragsdale will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home with Dr. Keith Stell and Rev. Tim Cochran officiating. Internment will follow at White Oak Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Benson Funeral Home from 6 PM - 8 PM, and Wednesday from 12 PM until the time of the service at 2 PM.
