Joe M. Loftin, 74, of McAlester, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at his home. Born Oct. 22, 1940, in Bayard, New Mexico, he was the son of Joe B. and Mary E. (Van Cleave) Loftin. He married Patricia A. Hayes on June 1, 1965, in Calexico, California. He was a fence contractor in Missouri, Texas and Oklahoma. He loved team penning on his favorite horse and he enjoyed gardening and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Loftin, of the home; son, Joe B. Loftin, of the home; son, Kenneth Loftin and wife, Gwen, Groves, Texas; daughter, Mary Loftin and husband, Ben, Valley Mills, Texas; daughter, Elizabeth "Margie" Loftin, Laurel, Mississippi. Also, grandchildren, Clifford Graham, Goodman, Missouri; Krystal Loftin, Valley Mills, Texas; Rebecca Loftin, Stephenville, Texas; Zachary Edge, Amy Edge, JT Edge and Lora Edge, all of Laurel, Mississippi, and Christopher Loftin, Pearsall, Texas, and great-grandson, Roper Graham, Goodman, Missouri. And, brother, Pete Loftin and wife, Val, Cisco, Texas; sister, Mikalou Valenzuela and husband, Richard, Brawley, California, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mary Loftin; his brothers, Stewart Loftin and Robert "Bobby" Loftin, and his grandson, Tyler Loftin. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Loftin residence on Parker Road. Arrangements are under the direction of Add Vantage Funeral and Cremation Services of Tulsa.
