Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis Seay Hoggle and Minnie Kelly Hoggle; and siblings, Mae Hoggle Tidmore, Thomas Hoggle, Elizabeth Hoggle Belle, and Betty Hoggle Banks.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Marcum Hoggle; daughters, Sharon Hoggle Patterson (Jeff) and Carol Hoggle Warren (Matt); three granddaughters, Emma Kate Patterson, Aubri Warren and Kendall Warren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Bobby loved God first, then people, and Southern Gospel music. He learned to play the guitar at age 12, and played beautiful music until three months before he died. He loved to sing and was a member of the Colburn Family in the 1970s and later in his church. He was a master craftsman and could build anything out of wood.
Bobby's family was his life and his wife Shirley which he called "his little woman" was the love of his life for 49 years. He loved his daughters and was always there for them. His sons-in-law were the "sons he never had" and his granddaughters were his "buddies." He always wanted to keep peace in the family and would not accept any strife that would break the "family bond." Bobby was kindhearted and selfless. He impacted the lives of everyone he met. He always gave God the glory, no matter what the situation, or how he felt. He has taught us so many things and to him we are grateful. We will truly miss him on this earth, but Heaven has gained a wonderful faithful soldier.
Pallbearers will be Keith Tidmore, Kenny Tidmore, Jerry Hoggle, Ross Hoggle, Gary Hoggle, James Curtis Hoggle (Foffer), Michael Hoggle (Bubba), Greg Marcum, Billy Henley and James Colburn.
Honorary pallbearers are the staff of DCH TSICU, Dr. Thomas, Dr. Azam, Debbie Davis, DCH Home Health (Jeremy), and members of Englewood Baptist Church, friends and neighbors, and staff of Northriver Primary Care.
