Phyllis attended Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, children, family and friends.
On May 25, 2002, in LaPorte, she married Edward Lucas, who survives. She is also survived by her mother, Helen (William) Hatchel of LaPorte; three daughters, Cherish Dunfee of Kalamazoo, MI, Melissa Dunfee of LaPorte and Heather (Tyler) DeNormandie of Porter, IN; her daughter’s father, Mark Dunfee of Fish Lake, IN; two grandchildren, Delaney Dunfee and Wyatt DeNormandie; brother, Anthony Shannon of LaPorte; and two nephews, Joe Shannon and Gabriel Shannon.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her father.
