Tammy Elaine Howard, 53, of Troy passed away 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday at Troy First Baptist Church. Dr. Vann Kissell will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.
Visitation will be held at Troy First Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Friday.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Puckett, Steve Puckett, Jamey Andrews, Scott Denham, Larry Koon and Mike Bishop.
Tammy was born January 4, 1962, in Union City, daughter of Anna Margaret (Jones) Gurien of Troy and the late Charles Thomas Howard.
She had been employed at Merle Norman Cosmetics in Union City for 12 years. Tammy was a 1980 graduate of Obion County Central High School and enjoyed making people laugh, flowers and watching wild life in her yard. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is also survived by her daughter and her fiance, Leah Marie Howard and Adam Turnbow, both of Troy; her son and his fiancee, Ryan Neal Holbrook and Meredith Lysen both of Dublin, Georgia; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna and Mike Bishop of League City, Texas, Jenny and Scott Denham of Leesburg, Georgia, and Teresa and Larry Koon of Navarre, Florida; her brother and sister-in-law, Stan and Elaine Howard of Baconton, Florida; and several loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Gooch; her stepfather, Gene Gurien; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lowell Howard and Mr. and Mrs. Mack Jones.
