Rebecca Ann Havens Hodges, 89, after a long illness, went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2015.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 6, 2015 at Abilene Municipal Cemetery with Reverend Paul Matta officiating, directed by Abilene Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Abilene Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, 3349 N. 12th St.

Mrs. Hodges was born August 26, 1925 in Abilene, Texas where she graduated from Abilene High School and later attended Gail Business School.

In 1951 she married Masuda Lee "Art" Hodges.

Rebecca and her husband Art ran Sign Advertising in Abilene for fifty years.

Mrs. Hodges was a past president of Abilene Business Women's Association, an honor member of Oro Negra Chapter, a charter member of the Catclaw Chapter and also in Sweet Adeline's.

She was a member of the Westgate Church of Christ.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Ann Powers of Brownwood; two grandson, Justin Lee Gonzales of Corpus Christi and Jason Everett Hollis of Brownwood; and five great grandchildren, Shyann Henshaw of Zephyr, Andriana Nicole and Hunter Andrew Hollis of Lufkin, Triniti Ann and Rowyn Coi Hollis of Brownwood.

Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by her husband, Masuda Hodges; and infant daughter, Cheryl Ann Hodges.
