Kimberly K. Parker, 56, of Dallas, TX, formerly of Jackson, passed away Monday, February 4, 2014 at Baylor Hospital with complications of flu and pneumonia. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland with burial following in Brandon Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held at 11:30 a.m with the service following Saturday at the funeral home.
Kim was born on June 19, 1957, in Prentiss, the daughter of David D. Parker and Mary J Parker Briggs. Kim graduated from Clinton High School in 1975 and continued her education at Hinds Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Photography and Photo Journalism. Kim was in the Sweet Adeline Choir in Jackson as well as Dallas. Anyone knowing Kim knows, she is in Heaven singing with a camera. She was currently employed with Chem Chek in Richardson, TX. Kim is preceded in death by her father, David D. Parker, grandparents, Lester and Myrrah Jarvis and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Parker. She is survived by her mother, Mary J. Parker Briggs of Madison; brother, Don Parker (Cindy) of Plano, Texax and nephew, Mason Parker also of Plano, Texas.
