Halsey was a Wagoner in the 1st RI Cavalry Co C.

The Togus records say he was born Cumberland RI, died of Bright's disease in hospital 05/24/1894 and the body was sent to Attleboro for burial 05/26/1894. His effects were to be sent to his brother Albert Ballou at Meriden ? St. in Pawtucket, then this is crossed out and it says send to Mrs. EPM Razee at Arnold's Mills RI. , later the General at the Hospital signs off 06/11/1894 and the effects and cash went to Albert.
