Evelyn Bence Yates, age 93, of Cordova, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on Sunday, February 1, 2015. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry "Jack" Yates. Mrs. Yates is survived by her son, Donald A. Yates of Newbury Park, California and daughter, Linda Yates of Cordova, Tennessee; grandchildren, Mark Block, Adam Yates, Christie Martineau; and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2015 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tennessee.
