Mrs. Minnie Jay passed away Friday, July 10, 1964, at the home of her son, F W Jay, Worth, MO; at the age of ninety-four. Mrs. Jay was born March 23, 1870, at Grant City, Mo. Most of her life was spent in the Grant City vicinity. She was the daughter of Tom and Alice Davis. Mrs. Minnie Jay was married to William E Jay, July 27, 1887 who preceded her in death November 1, 1956. To this union were born eight sons and three daughters. One daughter died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her death: Fred A Jay Los Angeles, Calif; Fayette W Jay, Worth. Mo; Goldie M Armintrout, Minatare, Neb; Clyde D Jay, Lexington, Mo; Austin E Jay, Grant City, Mo; George A Jay, Scottsbluff, Neb; Dane W Jay, Hastings, Neb; Nelson N Jay, Greeley, Colo; Lewis L Jay, Minatare, Neb; Opal A Booth, Greeley, Colo; 39 grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Anna Wilson of North Platte, Neb; Lulu Morgan of Omaha, Neb; and Willie Davis of Arizona.
