Dorothy was born March 7, 1929 in Cabarrus County to the late Fred Jones Plummer and the late Ella Little Plummer. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Clyde Hooks, Sr.; and three sisters.
Dorothy was a role model for her family and was instrumental in leading both family and friends to the Lord. She loved to cook, and often used her talent for cooking to bring family and friends together. Everyone who knew Dorothy loved her. There was never a negative word spoken by Dorothy, in fact she often said, "If you can't say something good, then don't say anything at all". It was her wishes for all of her family to know the Lord as their Savior and to one day be with her in Heaven.
