Mr. Imler, 82, of Woodbury died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 18, 1989, at his home.
Mr. Imler retired as a civil engineer from the Pennsylvania Department of Highways and was formerly employed by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
He formerly taught school in Woodbury Township.
He was born Aug. 12, 1906, in Woodbury Township, the son of George and Margaret (Smith) Imler, and Oct. 15, 1927, in Salemville, married J. Mae Kagarise, who died July 14, 1981.
Surviving are two children: W. Lloyd of Altoona and Meredith A. Erb of Roaring Spring RD; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Martha Davis of Martinsburg.
Mr. Imler was a member of the Woodbury Church of God. He was also a member of the Woodbury Joint School board for many years and served as secretary, member of the Woodbury Council, Woodbury Odd Fellows Lodge, and treasurer of the Dry Hill and Keagy Cemetery associations.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury, and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Woodbury Church of God.
IMI.ER — Services for Jesse W. Imler of Woodbury will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Woodbury Church of God, Woodbury, by the Rev. William E. Brantner.
Interment at Dry Hill Cemetery, Woodbury RD.
