She was a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Health Promotion and Education and from Newberry College with a nursing degree. Mrs. Miller was employed by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control as a registered nurse. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She is survived, in addition to her parents, James and Donna Dowd of Pomaria; by her husband, Thomas Judson Miller; a daughter, Kaylee Ann Miller; sister, Jamie (Lance) Hall of Little Mountain; maternal grandparents, Marcy and Robert DeHart of Pomaria; paternal grandmother, Christine Dowd of Pomaria; mother-in-law, Sydney Miller of N. Augusta; father-in-law, Eric (Shay) Miller of Newberry; and niece, Emily Hall.
Christian Funeral services: 2:00 pm Thursday, February 5, 2015, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Brent Nichols. Burial in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Restoration Fund, 2496 SC Highway 773, Pomaria, SC 29126 or the Newberry County Animal Shelter, 240 Public Works Drive, Newberry, SC 29108.
