HOUSLEY, CHARLES H. - age 73, of Knoxville, passed away on Monday February 2, 2015 at Ben Atchley State Veteran's Home. He proudly served in the US Army Special Forces and earned the Green Beret, awarded by President John F. Kennedy, and retired from Norfolk Southern after 32 years of service as a Railroad Engineer. He was preceded in death by: children Harry Housley and Susan Eddy; and parents Delbert Howard and Marie Mary Norman Housley. Survivors include: wife of 27 years Iris Housley; stepchildren Laura (Jerry) Noe and Carl Weston, DDS; six grandchildren; sister Brenda Kinslow; brothers: Edward (Sandy) Housley, Harold (Donna) Housley, and Don (Lori) Housley; and beloved dogs Heidi and Greta. The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 4, 2015 from 9:00-10:00 with a celebration of Charles' life to follow at 10:00 AM at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home. The interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society . Condolences may be offered at www.highlandwestknoxville.com
