William I. “Buzz” Oxford, 83, of the Rock community passed away on January 31, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice Center in Springdale, Arkansas.
He was born May 31, 1931 in Kingston, Arkansas, the son of C. L. “Lum” and Audry O. (Bowen) Oxford.

He was a lifelong resident of Benton County and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed carpentry work, farming, hunting and watching the deer pass in front of his house. He was always up for a good conversation with family and friends when they would drop by or call. He also enjoyed time with his terrier, BJ.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 44 years, Dorthy E. Oxford.

Survivors include life companion and caregiver, Eve Curtis of the home, three sisters, Ola Mae Sherry, Ova Lea Clinton and Bernice Bohlen; three brothers, Lennis (Toad) Oxford, Charlie Oxford and Lorin (Buddy) Oxford, seven nieces, three nephews and numerous other friends and family.

Graveside service with full military honors will be 2:00 p.m Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Rambo Cemetery with Pastor Michael Sherry officiating.
