Marcia Dianne Patterson, 64 years of age, of Danville, Kentucky, departed this life on Sunday, February 1st, 2015.
Dianne was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 6th, 1950, the eldest daughter of the late Cleo and Martha Lucas Patterson. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Danville, Kentucky. She graduated from Stanford High School then attended Transylvania University and EKU, achieving a Masters in accounting.
Dianne was a tax manager for oil companies, a nanny and did missionary work with YWAM and Perspectives for a decade each respectively. She traveled to the Caribbean, Egypt, Israel, and the European nations doing mission work with Muslim families. Even while in a wheelchair, her compassionate heart allowed her to continue mission work in Kentucky.
Dianne was survived by four siblings, Larry Patterson, Sr. (and Vera) of Stanton, Kentucky, Melinda Spencer (and Donald) of Paducah, Kentucky, Donna Floyd (and Ricky) of Waynesburg, Kentucky, and Janet Stringer (and Dennis) of Kings Mt., Kentucky; seven nieces and nephews; eleven great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in heaven's home going by her parents, Cleo Patterson, who departed this life on September 28th, 2003 and Martha Maxine Patterson, who departed this life on August 30th, 2009.
Visitations were held from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Danville, Kentucky. The Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, Kentucky was in charge of the arrangements for Marcia.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Mathis and Bro. Kevin Floyd officiating.
Graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 at Falconbury Cemetery in Walltown, Kentucky.
