Linda was born June 5, 1954 in Springfield, MO to Joel Dean Brooks and Mary May (McGee) O’Briant. She grew up in North Kansas City and graduated from Park Hill High School. Linda attended Southwest Baptist College before entering the work force in the medical industry. She worked for St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City for over twenty years. Most recently she had been employed at Applewood Homes in Cross Timbers, MO. Besides her career Linda enjoyed playing games, telling silly stories, doing crossword puzzles, taking road trips, attending fairs, swimming, and working out.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Joel Brooks and Mary O’Briant; Paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Elsie Brooks; Maternal Grandparents, Walter “Cap” and Alda McGee. Survivors include her sister, Tracey and spouse Bryan Allison; nephew, Spencer Allison and his fiancé Lacey Ross; niece, Miranda Allison; step-father, Marvin O’Briant; great niece, Oakley; uncle and aunt, Richard and Shirley Appleby; and numerous cousins.
