Janice K. (Tolle) Simpson, 74, Fairmount, passed away at 10:42 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015, in her residence. She was born in Hartford City to the late Howard and Helen (Hogle) Tolle. On August 6, 1961, she married David W. Simpson, and he survives.
Janice graduated from Swayzee High School in 1958, and from Holy Cross School of Nursing in 1961. She was a homemaker, who loved sewing, crafting, and cooking. She enjoyed going swimming and attending all of her grandchildren's activities. She attended Harmony Christian Church in Elwood.
Along with her husband, Janice is survived by her children, Greg (Betsy) Simpson, Swayzee, and Deb (Tom) Coppess, Anderson; grandchildren, Kurt (Kelly) Simpson, Kasey (Jarrid) Humphreys, Ben (Ashley) Coppess, Andrea Coppess, Brady Simpson, and Brenna Simpson; great grandchildren, Cody, Connor, Hunter, Jack, Sophie, Rex, Tyler, Hailey, Kayden, and Lucas; niece, Lisa (Kurt) Miller; nephew, Terry (Lisa) Tolle; step-mother, Florence Tolle, Pt. Isabel; step-brothers, Bill (Linda) Hannah, Pt. Isabel, and Jerry Hannah, Decatur; and step-sister, Phyllis (John) Hebble, Decatur.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mike Simpson, in 2008; and brother, J.R. Tolle.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Rybolt Chapel, 314 N. Washington St., Swayzee, IN 46986, with Pastor Ron Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Thrailkill Cemetery in Swayzee.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at the funeral home.
