Lottice Lavana Dally, 91, of La Crosse passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at her home.
She was born Jan. 17, 1924, in Parsons, Tenn., to John and Lelah (Long) Brown. On March 4, 1944, Lavana married Eugene Robert Dally in Hernando, Miss. She worked at Grandview Hospital in La Crosse until their closing in 1969. Lavana then worked at St. Francis Hospital, now, Mayo Clinic Health System, Franciscan Healthcare in La Crosse, until her retirement in 2001. She was a member of the Stoddard American Legion Post 315 Ladies Auxiliary. Lavana enjoyed camping, baking, watching and playing basketball, and she loved her Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene Robert; four daughters, Judy (Toby) Ginder of Madison, Wanda (Joe) Pineau of Colorado Springs, Colo., Cindy (Lou) Calogero of La Crosse, and Sandy (Gary) Luepke of Holmen; six grandchildren, Dawn (Mark) Ceja, Jered Johnson, Eric (Sutra) Ginder, Erin (Marty) Mathias, Jenny (Gavin) Brownell and Ryan (Kelly) Luepke; four great-grandchildren, Justin, Jacob, Araceli and Sara; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lavana was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Harold, Lewis, James and Barney; and one sister, Faye; and one great-grandson, Weston.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Faith Baptist Church, 3615 28th St. S., La Crosse. Private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or to March of Dimes.
