On Saturday, January 31, 2015, heavens gates opened and the angels were singing indescribable songs of celebration for the homecoming of W. L. "Dub" Anderson, of Dry Creek, LA.

He was husband and "sweet Dub" to his surviving wife, Gleta Welborn Anderson of 48 years. He was Dad to two beautiful daughters, Staci Renee Anderson of Bossier City, LA and Karla Renee Anderson Glover, wife of Eric Glover, of Dry Creek, LA. He was "Grand-Dad" to three amazing grandchildren, Mackenzi Renee Carringer of Bossier City, Matthew Gage Glover of Dry Creek, LA and Jude Anderson Carringer of Bossier City, LA.

He was little brother to JoDell Welborn (Bob) of DeRidder and Wanda Niles of South Haven, MI. He was big brother to Fred Anderson (Sammie) of DeRidder, Steve Anderson (Nancy) of Baton Rouge, Richard Anderson of DeRidder, Herschel Anderson of Kinder, LA, Beverly Cagle (Larry) of Harvard, IL and Robbie Anderson of Dallas, TX. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Anderson and Jimmy Anderson. Also preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lee Anderson and Lillian Arita Brown Anderson and his in-laws Russell Glen Welborn and Agnes Hickman Welborn.

Last but not least, Dub will be missed by Sophie and Bogie, his everlasting companions and lap dogs.

If time or space would allow, there are so many wonderful things to say about the man he was and the legacy he leaves behind. He has left an indelible imprint in the DeRidder and surrounding Beauregard Parish communities. His God given gifts and talents in architecture and design can be found in multiple churches and homes throughout the area. Dub was a true visionary.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army and he was currently serving his church as Elder and Sunday School Teacher. His love for horses led to many years of training and breeding; barrel racing with his daughter Karla and grand-daughter Mackenzi and roping with his grand-son Matthew. He loved fishing with his grand-children and was an avid fan of the LSU Tigers.

Funeral services will be at 1 P M, Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at Grace Church in DeRidder with Rev. George L. Glass, Jr., Rev. Jimmy Glass and Rev. George Lee Glass officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
