Gene Brack Jordan, 91, died Saturday.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie Howell Jordan, and sons, Douglas and Norman Jordan.

He loved to volunteer his time between the church, Masons, Shriners and Wake County Board of Elections. He also served as Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts, head baseball coach for the junior city league and resident cook for his church and Masonic Temple. He was a deacon and elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church and served as Master of the Raleigh 500 Masonic Lodge. He was a long-time employee of Railway Express Agency and following that, a self-employed upholsterer.

He is survived by two sons, Conrad Richard Jordan and his wife Leasa and Brack Jordan and his wife Debbie; a granddaughter, Christie Caravalho and her husband Michael Underwood Jr; great-grandchildren, Toni, Paige, and Austin Caravalho; and a brother, Walter Jordan and his wife Mary.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 3, at 1 PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 301 E. Whitaker Mill Rd. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road.
