Marie V. Rivard was born in Alpena on January 19, 1920 to the late Adolph and Ida (Carriveau) Rivard and was raised by Frank and Anne Herron. On December 2, 1939 she married Kenneth Morrison. He preceded her in death. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Annapolis Hospital in Wayne until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and will be remember for her dancing.
Surviving are her special friend Ed Ritthaler; 2 sons, Ronald Morrison of Westland, Randy (Lawana) Morrison of South Lyon; grandson, Lance Morrison; step granddaughter, Lori (Billy) Stophonski; 5 step great grandchildren; also surviving are Ed’s family, Allyn (Janet) Ritthaler, Kenneth Ritthaler, Nadine (Al) Valentine, Lori (Richard) Oliver, Marcie (Bill) Ketchum; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
