PIONEER, LA - Funeral services for Cletus Nathaniel Clay, Sr., age 65 of Pioneer, Louisiana, will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove, Louisiana.

Interment will follow in the Reeks Cemetery near Pioneer, Louisiana.

Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.

Mr. Clay passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Richland Parish Hospital in Delhi, Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Nathaniel Clay and Saphronia Jane Porter Clay; and 2 brothers, Harold Clay and Roy Clay.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Theresa Ann Berry Clay of Pioneer; daughter and son-in-law, Tabitha and Jared Sandifer of Monroe, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and David Chisholm of Meridian, Mississippi; son and daughter-in-law, Cletus N. "JR" Clay, Jr. and Brandy, Clay of Pioneer; daughter, Cindy Nunez of Lake Charles, Louisiana; brother, C. P. Clay of Vally Park, Mississippi; brother, Virgil Clay of Vicksburg, Mississippi; sister, Alberta Diesing of New York, New York; sister, Bethel Stroder of Oak Grove, Louisiana; sister, Donna Johnson, of West Memphis, Tennessee; sister, Virginia Brown of Vicksburg, Mississippi; sister, Gloria Collum of Oak Grove, Louisiana.

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Jared Andrew Sandifer, Zoie Suzanne Sandifer, Cayla Hainslee Chisolm, Theresa Faye Chisolm, Ella Kate Chisolm, Cletus Nathaniel Clay III, Haleigh Lurain Clay, Brandyn Gene Clay, Tiffany LaBlac, Serena Campbell, James Richard II and 6 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are: JR Clay, Joey Payne, Jacob Whitstine, David Chisolm, Robert Berry, Junior Berry and Romaen Berry.

Family will receive friends on Monday, February 2, 2015 between the hours of 3 to 9 PM at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove.
