FAYETTEVILLE - Mr. Raymond C. Pfaff, Sr., of the Carolina Inn, Fayetteville, NC, went home to be with the Lord, on Saturday, October 18, 2014, with his family at his side. Ray served as a Coxswain in the Navy and after the war attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ray was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he served faithfully as an Elder, the President of the Fellowship Class. He was an associate member of Bethania Moravian Church, Bethania, NC. He was a former executive with Barnhill Construction of Fayetteville and LA Reynolds of Winston-Salem. In his retirement he volunteered in the Fayetteville area. Ray was preceded in death by the love of his life, Martha R. Pfaff. He is survived by his daughter, Kellie Perkins, and her husband Donald of Fayetteville, and his son, Clark Pfaff, and his wife Cynthia of Granby, CT, along with two grandchildren Taylor and Madison of Granby, CT. He is survived by a brother, Robert Pfaff of Winston-Salem, NC. The family will receive friends in the church parlor at First Presbyterian Church of Fayetteville from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. The memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2014, in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, with Dr. John W. Coker Jr., officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at Bethania Moravian Church Cemetery in Bethania, NC with the Rev. David Merritt officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Presbyterian Church, 102 Ann Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. Arrangements entrusted to Rogers and Breece Funeral Home of Fayetteville, NC.
