He was born September 4, 1924 in Owsley County, Ky., was the son of the late Bradley and Effie McQueen Edwards, was the widower of Eva Ball Edwards, was an auto mechanic, a veteran of WW II and was a member of the Christian Church.
Mr. Edwards is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Caroline Little of Booneville, Ky., one grand-daughter: Mrs. Jessice Estes of Beattyville, Ky., three great-grand-daughters: Ms. Whitney Caudell, Ms. McKenzie Mays & Ms. Bailey Estes, all of Beattyville, Ky.; one sister: Mrs. Hazel Brewster of Pekin, Indiana, and several relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Bradley & Effie Edwards; his wife: Eva Edwards; one son: Wendell Edwards; one brother, Carl Edwards and one sister, Deloris Deaton Murrell.
Funeral services for Mr. Edwards was held Friday, December 29, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Searcy & Strong Funeral Home. Officiating the services was the Bro. Walter Turner with the burial following in the Moore cemetery on Lower Buffalo in Owsley County.
