Hebron Weekly 1-9-1920 Hubbell Man killed by train was Civil War Veteran. He lived at the old Kimberly place east of the RR station. He was deaf and did not hear the train as he was struck and died shorty after.
Death certificate is attached. Three red stones are at the Lamb Cemetery marked Duncan and civil war dates. DC says he was buried At Hubbell where the Lamb cem. may be. He was born in Franklin co. Missouri. He last wife Margaret Holland Fultz Duncan died in 1917 at Hubbell.
His daughter Cynthia Ann Duncan Davenport is FAG # 46251249 which shows he is the father and her mother was first wife Mary Ann hatfield. she is at Chester Cem. at Thayer co with the Davenport family.
Family mameber Jean Crouce (Wilbert) said in 2003 she took the stone picture at Lamb Cem . east of Hubbell. these were homemade red stones in the old section of of the cem where old Hub JOhnson was buried, said to be a friend of Cynthias and James J. Davenport.
The cemetery is partly in Nebr and Kansas, but the Hubbell cemetery is listed in FAG as in Republic county Kansas. this cem.also has Hub Johnson whose stone is almost right next to these stones. will be searching for grave of Margaret Holland Fultz Duncan.
