Edward Posey Simonds, 87, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away January 28, 2015. He was born November 4, 1927 in Bryson City, North Carolina to James and Nolaa Simonds.

Edward served in the Korean war as a tech Sergeant.

He worked for 20 years as a machinist at Jantzen Knitting Mills in Vancouver, Washington.

Edward loved to hunt, fish, and travel.

Survivors include his four children, Dennis, Gary, Sharon and Roger; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and siblings, Harold, JC, Ray, Ethel, Don, and Mary Jane Simonds.

Viewing was held Wednesday, February 4, 2015 and memorial services were on Thursday, February 5, 2015, both at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1011 NE 112th Ave., Vancouver, Washington. Burial services followed at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
