GASTONIA ~ Elsie G. Conard was a daughter to William G. Garrett and Mattie M. Garrett. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, William Ray Conard; brothers, Joyce Garrett, J.L. Garrett and Ralph Garrett.
Elsie was a graduate of Mt. Holly High School class of 1947. Her working career began with American & Efird in Mt. Holly on 10/13/1949 and she retired from American & Efird on 3/31/1993. She began as a clerk in the payroll department and retired as Assistant Vice President-Administrative. During her 40 plus years with American and Efird she also held a number of other positions. She was also a member of Executive Women International, Charlotte chapter. She was also a former member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Mt. Holly. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grand mother, and great grand mother. Along with being a true and loving friend to many.
Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly is serving the family.
